Straitouta Congtin is a grey colt by the successful sire, CONGAREE out of the multiple winning mare, Run Tin Tin. He was foaled on Apr 6, 2014. After initially training at Belmont and Saratoga in 2017, he was given additional time off to grow and mature. He returned to his foaling farm in Stillwater, New York, for five months of happy pasture time. In January of 2018, he began training at Belmont Park and started his first race in June 2018. His name is derived from his sire CONG(AREE) and 1st Dam (Run Tin)TIN as he was literally conceived STRAIT<>OUTTA CONG-TIN, and so, he is aptly named.
Straitouta Congtin is by leading stallion CONGAREE, sire of 9 crops and earnings of $16.9 Million! Congaree is the sire of Irish Champion 3YO Filly MAOINEACH, multiple Grade I winner JERANIMO, Grade I placed DON'T TELL SOPHIA as well as Grade I 2YO Stakes winner KILLER GRACES and Grade 3 stakes winner MYTHICAL POWER. He is the fourth foal out of Run Tin Tin, who has produced three other starters, including multiple winner Corporal Agarn and multiple winner My Project Girl. As a full NY bred, he is scheduled to run on New York racetracks in 2018.
