We are thrilled to have Tim McCanna train our horses at Emerald Downs, Golden Gate Fields and Del Mar!  Tim is the second most winning trainer at Emerald Downs with more than 2,000 career wins and over $16 million in career earnings. Tim was inducted into the Washington Racing Hall of Fame in 2011 for his training achievements, including 10 Emerald Downs training titles. Tim has maintained a consistency in excellence and is always among the highest percentage winning trainers at Emerald Downs and Golden Gate Fields every year. Amongst his many stakes winners was six-time stakes winner and state champion QUEENLEDO. Other notable horses that Tim has trained include JERSEY TOWN, POKER BRAD and graded stakes winning GIN'S MAJESTY and of course, our personal favorite, Rooster City.

 

For our horses in the mid-Atlantic region, we are fortunate and excited to be working with the well regarded horseman and trainer A. Ferris Allen to train our horses in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia.  Allen has saddled more than 2,000 winners during in his career including Grade II Stakes winning winner filly PASSEGGIATA (ARG) and stakes winners Chrusciki, Palette Knife, Miracle Wood and Aunt Ellen.  He is the all time leading trainer at Colonial Downs in Virgnia and is consistently ranked as one of the top 10 trainer's in Maryland for each of the past 15 years, including 15 consecutive years with $1,000,000 plus in earnings. He is a charter member of the Maryland Trainers and Horsemans Association, serving on the board from 1986 through 2002 and was awarded Outstanding Service to Maryland Horseman in 1990. 

The NYRA circuit is one of the most competitive in the world and there are few trainers as well respected and accomplished across the entire industry as James Toner, who trains for us at Belmont, Saratoga and Gulfstream Park. Jimmy has trained several champions throughout his illustrious career including the 1999 Breeders Cup Filly and Mare Turf with SOARING SOFTLY ($1,270,000), also the American Champion Female Turf Horse and no less than seven GRADE I Winners, including MEMORIES OF SILVER ($1,448,715), WONDER AGAIN ($1,439,602), WINTER MEMORIES ($1,268,100), TIME AND MOTION ($967,719), FLYING CHEVRON ($383,610) and TRIBULATION ($379,300) as well as multiple Grade II winners, most recently with HAWKISH and MANITOULIN.
