She is by City Zip, the 13th BEST sire in North America in 2017, represented by 159 winners and more than $10M in earnings in 2017. City Zip was represented in the Breeders Cup Classic and again in the Pegasus World Cup by Collected, who ran 2nd to Gun Runner in the Classic, Nov 2017. Before he passed away last April, City Zip's stud fee had climbed to $50,000 as he was one of the most sought out stallions in the bluegrass. Not My Money's Dam is by one of the top broodmare sires in North America, Not for Love (grandfather on mother's side) as he is the broodmare sire for California Chrome. Not My Money has four siblings, all winners.
Not My Money is a bay filly by CITY ZIP out of the unraced mare, Hawaiian Love. She was foaled on Apr 27, 2015. Royal Victory Thoroughbreds purchased the filly as a yearling at the 2016 Keeneland September sale. She is Virginia bred and has been stabled and trains at Golden Gate Fields in Northern California. In her short career, she has tested synthetic, dirt and turf surfaces and has shown capability across all three surfaces. Although her first dam did not race, she has produced four winners out of four racing horses, including General Ike, who has earned more than $140k.
Not My Money is by the brilliant world renown stallion, CITY ZIP, perennially a leading sire in North America and ranked in the top 5 of all U.S based stallions in 2016. City Zip was the leading sire of 2014 Grade I winners and was the sire of 11 Stakes Winners in 2015 and 28 stakes horses. His progeny G1 Breeders Cup winner CATCH A GLIMPSE ($1.8M) and DAYATTHESPA ($2.3M), WORK ALL WEEK ($1.5M), PALACE ($1.5M), ALERT BAY ($1M) and of course the affable and multiple Stakes Placed Rooster City ($200k). February 25, 2018: Not My Money is shown here in company (outside horse) breezing the final 2 furlongs of a 5/8 mile breeze over the track at Golden Gate Fields. This was her first 5/8 mile breeze, after going two 1/2 miles the past two weeks. Her final time for 5/8 was officially recorded as 1:05 (61/67) but the final two furlongs was unofficially recorded as 25.6, including a 12.0 final furlong. She also galloped out a strong 1/8 mile in 14.0.
