Notes and News

Straitouta Congtin  is finally on the track at Saratoga, starting to train and prepping for his 4 Year old debut, either late in the meet at Saratoga or when NYRA returns to Belmont for the Fall 2019 meet. With just four career starts, including his debut when he spotted the field 20 lengths after missing the break, he has a 3rd place finish to his credit in his only other sprint. He'll return to a turf sprint distance against NY-bred maidens. Straitouta Congtin

Not My Money moved from California to Maryland and subsequently laid up for roughly six months before returning to light work and then serious training in late Spring. She returned with a statement on July 6 at Laurel Park, finishing a strong second in an open MCL $40k race. As a Virginia bred, she is pointing to Colonial Downs for starts in Aug and Sept, where she is eligible to race against VA-bred or Certified restricted fillies and mares.  Learn more about Not My Money on her page: Not My Money

Hardy Chisel graduated from the maiden ranks on Aug 10, 2018 in a gutty win, holding off several foes after being pressured while running on the lead throughout the race. It was just his third career start for the juvenile son of Paynter, after debuting at Emerald Downs in June 2018. His return in 2019 has been perplexing as he has not fired in three starts through June. He was given a month off in pasture and has returned to Emerald Downs to resume his training regimen. His performance at Emerald in late Aug / Sept will determine where he moves once Emerald closes.  You can also learn more about Hardy Chisel on his page: Hardy Chisel.

Running On Entry made her long awaited debut at Belmont Park on May 2, running an electric come-from-behind race NY-restricted maiden allowance race. She returned from the race in good shape and returned on Jun 30, finishing 5th in a NY-bred MSW with an odd pace, while not showing the same finish as her debut. She's been given some time off for maintenance and repairs and is currently targeting a return to training in mid-September and hopefully a return to the races in October. As a NY-bred, VA. Certified filly, she is eligible for unique bonuses, especially if she wins! ou can learn more about Running On Entry on her page: Running On Entry

Two Sixteen is the KY-bred daughter of Strong Mandate, purchased in the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2 YO in training sale in May 2018. She began training in September 2018 at Laurel Park in Maryland and debuted with a game effort in running 2nd at the maiden $40k level. In seven career starts, she has never run a bad race, finishing in the money five times with a win, two seconds and two thirds and $45k in career earnings to date. She last race in June 2018 and has since been given a little time for maintenance and repairs with a scheduled return to training in September and racing in Oct or November of 2018. You can learn more about Two Sixteen on her page:  Two Sixteen

Oct 2016 Check out this throwback video of My Money (by City Zip) upon arriving in Yakima, shortly after being purchased at the Keeneland Sept Sale in 2016. It's interesting to see how she has developed from her purchase as a yearling.
