Super Buddy is a 3 year old gray colt by SUPER SAVER out of the stakes winning mare, KOSMO'S BUDDY. He was foaled in April 2014. Royal Victory Thoroughbreds purchased the colt as a two year old in training after the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale in May 2016. He is Maryland bred and has a career record of 1 win, 1 second and 1 third from five starts. His maiden victory came on July 15, 2017 at Laurel Park, sprinting six furlongs on the dirt. He is currently in training at Laurel Park in Maryland. His first Dam was a turf sprinter, winning $298k, including 2 stakes wins, 5 seconds and 7 thirds in the Stakes/Handicap division.
Super Buddy is by the hot shot stallion, SUPER SAVER, winner of the 2010 Kentucky Derby and boasting the number one cumulative third-crop sire in 2016 by Graded Stakes Winners and G1 Winners. Graded winners include RUNHAPPY who won the Breeders Cup Sprint (G1) and Kings Bishop (G1), COMPETITIVE EDGE, EMBELLISH THE LACE and HIGH DOLLAR WOMAN. His Dam, KOSMOS BUDDY is also a multiple stakes winner. She won the Maryland Million Turf Sprint Handicap at Laurel Park and Crank It Up Stakes at Monmouth Park in 2008 and finished second in the Gin Talking Stakes, Hookedonafeeling stakes, Marshua Stakes and PG Johnson, and the Jameela Stakes at Laurel.
