Pyscho Sister is a 4 year old Washington State bred bay filly by FREUD out of the stakes winning mare, MELBA JEWEL. Her name is a misspelled derivative based on her sire's name. Many people ask me why her name is misspelled and it's because her owner (and author of this blog) misspelled her name when submitting it to The Jockey Club and it stuck. Royal Victory Thoroughbreds purchased her as a yearling in the 2014 WTBOA sale. In 2016 she scored two big wins and four third place finishes in eight starts. She won her only race in 2016 on the All Weather surface and finished first and third in three starts on turf. She has trained in both California and Washington State.
Pyscho Sister is from the highly acclaimed sire, FREUD, leading sire of Stakes Winners every year in New York since 2008. He was the sire of 13 Stakes performers in 2016 alone, including SHARP AZTECA, FOURSTAR CROOK, MUST GO ON and several others. His Dam, MELBA JEWEL is also a Stakes winner, taking the Angie C Stakes at Emerald Downs and finishing second in U.S Bank Stakes, Diane Kem Stakes. and third in Betsy Ross Handicap and Kathyrn's Doll. She is a half sister to stakes winners MARVA JEAN and SALTY LE MOUSSE, 20 race winner and stakes placed Sax Notes and stakes placed Zagreus and Frank N Lloyd. This is the third foal from the dam, including one other winner.
