Annisquam is a 6 year old California bred bay mare by FORESTRY out of the winning mare, Princess Pegasus. She was acquired by Royal Victory Thoroughbreds in 2017 after earning her ninth career win out of 19 career starts, for a remarkable 47% winning percentage. Annisquam is named after a picturesque coastal town in northern Massachusetts. In 2016 she won 6 out of 9 races, mostly racing in the Northern California circuit and earned three more wins in 2017, including an impressive 2-length win on Oct 26 at Golden Gate Fields. She will run at Golden Gate Fields in 2018 for Royal Victory Thoroughbreds.

Annisquam is from the well proven sire, FORESTRY, a leading sire of multiple Stakes Winners, including 2011 Preakness winner SHACKLEFORD and is the sire of several successful sires today including Grade I Winners DISCREET CAT and FOREST DANGER. Over the course of his career at stud, FORESTRY has sired a remarkable 1,600 wins and his progeny perform on all surfaces but are especially strong on dirt (17%) with more than 1,200 wins and wet-dirt surfaces (19%).  Her Dam, Princess Pegasus had a modest career with one win in eleven starts and career earnings of $22,040. She has produced three winners out of five that have made it to the races, and Annisquam has been her most successful with career earnings of $73,435.

Mar 18 found Annisquam on the track and as shown in the video in the paddock at Golden Gate Fields with a pony horse in preparation for her breeze the next day on Mar 19 where she did 4F (1/2 mile) in 48.6 seconds. Annisquam is staying fit in preparation for her next race and travel to Emerald Downs in early April.
