Victor Bahna is the Managing Partner for Royal Victory Thoroughbreds and n active breeder and owner of racehorses for the past 20. Victor brings a wealth of experience in buying, breeding and retiring racehorses. Raised near Belmont Park in New York, Victor first learned about racing as a spectator and later as an owner after relocating to Seattle. Victor purchased his first horse at Emerald Downs in 2005 and has been going strong ever since. As a successful tech executive, Victor also brings extensive business knowledge and experience from more than 25 years in leadership roles at Microsoft, ServiceNow and Nutanix.

We are thrilled to have Tim McCanna train our horses at Emerald Downs, Northern California and Del Mar! Tim is the second most winning trainer at Emerald Downs with more than 2,500 career wins and over $25 million in career earnings. Tim was inducted into the Washington Racing Hall of Fame in 2011 for his training achievements, including 10 Emerald Downs training titles. Tim has maintained a consistency in excellence and is always among the highest percentage winning trainers every year. Amongst his many stakes winners was multiple stakes winner, TOP HARBOR six-time stakes winner and state champion QUEENLEDO. Other notable horses that Tim has trained include graded stakes winner JERSEY TOWN and GIN’s MAJESTY as well as POKER BRAD, REBALATION and of course, our personal favorite, Rooster City.
In the mid-Atlantic region, we are fortunate and excited to have our horses under the care of well respected trainer A. Ferris Allen for Royal Victory Thoroughbreds horses racing in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Allen has saddled more than 2,300 winners and $39 million during in his career including Grade II Stakes winning winner filly PASSEGGIATA (ARG) and stakes winners Chrusciki, Palette Knife, Miracle Wood, Love You Much, Wicked Awesome and Aunt Ellen. He is the all time leading trainer at Colonial Downs in Virgnia and is consistently ranked amongst the top trainer’s in Maryland. Ferris is also a charter member of the Maryland Trainers and Horsemans Association, serving on the board from 1986 through 2002 and was awarded Outstanding Service to Maryland Horseman in 1990.
