Louisville Liam is a gray or roan colt by Liam’s Map out of the mare, Liquorice Marilyn (by Candy Ride). He was purchased by Royal Victory Thoroughbreds at the 2024 Fasig Tipton 2-Year-Old in Training MidAtlantic Sale.
Louisville Liam is by Liam’s Map, a perennially leading Kentucky stallion (#27 ranked nationally in 2024) and out of a Candy Ride mare, Liquorice Marilyn, who was purchased herself as a yearling for $500k. At age 4, Liam’s Map won the Breeders Cup dirt mile (Grade I) and the Woodward (Grade I) at Saratoga and ran second in the Whitney at Saratoga (Grade 2). In 8 career starts, he earned $1.4M.
Liam’s Map has sired Grade I winners Colonel Liam, Juju’s Map, Basin and Wicked Whisper. Since entering stud, is prodigy have sold well, including 2024 as yearling colts have sold for an average of $180k and 2-year-olds for an average of $160k.
Her first foal (2020), by Quality Road, was purchased for $350k as a yearling by the powerhouse Repole stables and trained by Todd Pletcher and her second foal (2021) by Audible has earned almost $200k and currently running at the Keeneland/Ellis/Churchill circuit.
